About

Welcome to Gayle Made, a blog that’s devoted to stuff I made that I’m ready to share with a bunch of folks I don’t know scattered around the world.

I’m a dabbler who has too much creativity to be contained by any one form of expression. I cook; I quilt: I make jewelry; I take photos; I write. I’m not an expert at any of these art forms, for sure, but I have my small victories.

The goal of this blog is just to share my creations and my creative process with you. I hope you’ll share back, and let me know what you think.

If you make one of my recipes, let me know how it turned out (even if you hated it). If you’re interested in quilting, photography, jewelry making, writing, ask questions or share your knowledge. Creativity thrives on collaboration.

Alpha, we are having a Gayle made weekend. The Braeburn, Macoun, etc is in the crockpot, the Sloppy Alphas are simmering, next in the crockpot will be the Corned beef and tomorrow we are cooking the chicken thighs. No cooking this week and plenty in the freezer.

I had an idea you might post. Alpha’s pantry. What do you try and always have in your pantry. Maybe you’ve done that but I would enjoy seeing what you must have.

One other (I know tell me to get my own blog) but have you seen many barn quilts? I love them and there are so many around me.

    Thanks for this site.

    Cindy

Hope everything turned out well. You sure were ambitious!

I love the idea of a pantry list. I’m definitely going to do that soon.

I’m not at all familiar with barn quilts. I’ll have to Google.

Hi. Saw your comment about cupcakes on WeWa. I live in your neck of the woods and am addicted to cupcakes. I go to Crumbs often as well as Flour & Sun and agree that the latter are small and pricey. I do love the Hummingbird cupcake there.

There’s a new Magnolia near Roc Center. Just had the carrot cake cupcake and it was quite good.

Alpha, I was just looking for the corned beef and cabbage recipe you had a while back with corned beef hash leftovers. Can you re-post it here.

The Guiness Stout Stew smells delicious. Can’t wait to have it today.

      The recipe is here:

This is How We Do Leftovers

The categories were messed up on it, so it wasn’t turning up on either the beef or crock pot pages. That’s been fixed.

      Enjoy!

I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind posting your 5 meat lasagna recipe? Thank you!

Hi, I’m katehearts on the GDT… was interested in your pressure cooker adventure yesterday and I have bought one for myself. I’d toyed with the idea for a couple of months and the thought of beans (I love them), stews and roasts cooked quickly was a big draw.

I’d love to see your recipes for the pressure cooker.

I have your banana bread in the oven right now. I replace the chocolate chips with 2 Tbs. of cocoa. My kids love it. FYI, I’m a longtime GDT lurker 🙂
